I’m a firm believer in that old adage “It takes a village” and so it does!
Our Flagship location for our school will become the first alternative to the currently run government-funded foster care system. The children we will be helping will be children who come from impoverished living conditions that are unlikely to change, due to circumstances beyond their control. We will care for them, house and educate them throughout their primary educational journey here. The earlier that they are in our care, the more likely they will grow up to become the exceptional adults and contributing members of society that they are meant to be here.
Each child will be selected by a panel of experts including educators, social workers, and counselors. HHF will provide an environment that allows children to acquire a secure attachment style in their youth. This is truly a school of life and discovery as outside of receiving a formal education, one aspect of the children’s education will consist of promoting empathy by caring for rescued horses. Another will be teaching them how to grow, and harvest produce grown in and outside of a greenhouse environment.
Our purpose is to raise and educate well-rounded, well-spoken, compassionate humans, to go out into this world after receiving a top-notch education and having had a cool childhood experience that is second to none!
